Memories of ‘Man with a Movie Camera’ despised, fragments of the autocratic others bleed into frame causing the protagonists to flee. The editor launches into a cutting frenzy. The viewer's relentless hunt for meaning in every frame causes conflict. A conflict with sensations of fight and flight, a road movie that requires no car. Instead all in the city were bedazzled with lights, yellow, blue and red, but the colours only served to hide the monsters.
Here in the Wasteland the two are free to think, true romance we hope is their salvation, But the open space is alien to the viewer’s cage auditorium.
The sound engineer lacks commitment to the project as sounds of birds and automobiles take presidency in the picture.
So much has been invested in producing and viewing these moving pictures that we must press on in fear that perhaps our thoughts shall never be the same. Thus leaving all in a State of limbo as the credits roll.
